Through hard work and an unwavering dedication to customer service, Mr. Donald Leung was able to build a loyal customer base in the lower mainland of BC. At the time, “Donald’s Meat Distribution” was predominately a service oriented business, procuring and delivering quality meats to its customer base.

As the company grew, Mr. Leung came to realize that the changes that were underway in the meat industry of the 1990’s presented opportunities beyond the limited scope and operating capacity of his current facility. In 1997, a small pork abattoir in Langley BC was purchased, and Mr. Leung began the process of transforming this operation into a specialty pork plant that could deliver on his vision of a boutique pork company with a dedication to food safety, product quality, and enhanced levels of customer service.

Significant investments were made to plant services, welfare areas, and administrative offices to ensure that the objectives for this new operation could be met. Britco Pork Inc. emerged from this process as western Canada’s premier specialty pork operation.

By 2004, the company had grown to the point where the “Donald’s Meat Distribution” facility was no longer adequate and further expansion was once again necessary. Plans were drawn up for a “state of the art” meat distribution and processing operation, and by December of 2005 the Donald’s Fine Foods facility on Mitchell Island in Richmond BC was commissioned.

In 2005, the company name was changed to “Donald’s Fine Foods”.

In 2010 Thunder Creek Pork in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan was purchased and retrofitted to become a modern federally approved pork production facility. The centralized location of the facility located in one of Canada’s top pork producing provinces gives Thunder Creek Pork an advantage to swiftly deliver safe quality pork to our customers.

October 2017 Donald’s Fine Foods began management of a large centralized meat processing facility in Chilliwack, British Columbia now called “Five Corners Meat Company.” The state of the art federally inspected facility produces retail case ready portioned meat products of Pork, Beef, Lamb, and Veal in a multitude of different packaging formats.
