The Salt Spring Abattoir is a community facility managed by the not- for- profit Salt Spring Abattoir Society providing custom slaughter service for both red meat and poultry. Opened in 2012, we now provide slaughter, hanging and cut and wrap services on site for lambs, pigs, beef, rabbits, chickens and turkeys. Unfortunately, we do not currently have the capacity to process waterfowl. Customers and community members are encouraged to show their support for this important local food service by becoming members of the Abattoir Society.
