BCMeats support abattoirs with outreach to funding opportunities for new equipment and plant expansion, as well as food safety and animal welfare training programs.
 
We advocate for continuous improvement at both the processor and government levels and work tirelessly to ensure all meat processors are operating on a level playing field.
 
Addressing the lack of skilled labour issue is an on-going initiative which includes training and hiring local BC residents, in addition to bringing in skilled foreign labour, to fill the need for the increasing demand for processing.
